The cushion display an intricate allegorical floral mille fleur design with animals embroidered needlepoint on the handwoven tapestry.

The fabulous colors combined and woven into this piece work together creating a refined look.
Millefleurs (thousand flowers) tapestries became popular in the late Middle Ages.

This handwoven embroidered antique piece of art is a captivating vision of woven beauty.
The cushion is blue velvet backed, metallic threat trimmed and terminates in each corner with a metallic hand crafted tassel, down filled.
Condition: good solid condition, gold metallic cord trim is loose a one point ( see pictures)
