Advertising graphics for Goodrich car tires from the famous French weekly L'Illustration. Color illustration depicting a character dressed as a mechanic with a tire slung over his shoulder. Goodrich Souple signed tire. The mechanic points upwards at the advertising slogan above the performance. Below, the brand's logotype. The colors with a predominance of blue and red correspond to the colors of the Goodrich logo.

The history of the American company Goodrich dates back to 1870, when it was founded by Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich. The company was one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world.

The weekly L'Illustration was published in Paris in the years 1843-1944. It was founded by Édouard Charton. L'Illustration was the first French newspaper to publish a black and white photo, and later also a color photo. From 1923, Gaston Sorbets was the editor-in-chief of the magazine.

The presented graphics are an example of the art of advertising of the mid-twentieth century. Old advertisements are valued for both collector's and decorative values.
