After Murillo, Madonna, Watercolor Painting

About This Piece

We are selling this high quality Old Master style watercolor painting. This fine watercolor of the Madonna and Child is after Bartolome Esteban Murillo's (1618-1682) "Gypsy Madonna" or "La Virgen de la Leche", the original which was executed in 1675 and currently hangs in the Corsini National Gallery in Rome, Italy . We believe this may be a 18th or 19th century copy.

Condition: Heavy acidification to the paper. Large damage in upper right, some smaller damages along the edges. Bottom portion of the painting has been trimmed.
