Appliques Couple 5 flames. French end of the 800.
Gold with the technique of gilding in focus.

This type of browning, supplanted today by the present galvanic procedure, consisted in preparing an amalgam consisting of gold and mercury applied to swab or spray on 'object that subsequently is reposed in the oven. The high temperature was evaporate the mercury allowing only to gold to remain attached to the treated surface.
These Appliques, finely crafted have a structure in bronze and 5 arms each.
They are embellished with decorations that while being processed, infuse sobriety in this beautiful object.

They were electrified in the 60 at the request of an antiques dealer who also carried out the restoration.
