Vintage Design

Safety on legs mahogany opening with a small drawer in the transom and decorated in front of an anvil and a hammer ebony from Ghana (Africa).
Period: first half of the XIX.
The anvil symbolizes a portable altar (one copy) which is still in the custody of the older lineage heads of the family Sinayogo. It consists of a gold rod, a red copper rod and a brass rod enclosed in a black iron sheet symbolizing fire respectively, air, water and land.
The anvil is accompanied by a small black iron hammer. Both objects are enshrined sacrifice.
