Lovely Art Nouveau Bentwood Pedestal from the period in Austria around 1900. Beautifully made of bentwood, this unique pedestal impresses with three slim columns on an octagon base. In the middle floats a small triangular compartment. The whole pedestal has been stained to a dark mahogany look. The round top plate has a diameter of 5.5" and offers the perfect spot for a cachepot or displaying a bust or sculpture. The pedestal is slightly distorted but that is nothing uncommon for pedestal with an age of over 120 years.
