People speculated in tulip bulbs and wanted to show off the most beautiful specimens. There are copies of Delft Blue porcelain in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Typical for this vase is that it is made up of different elements and that each tulip can be placed separately in a hole in the vase. WILLEM NOYONS, Utrecht (1956), versatile designer of, among other things, jewelry, furniture and glass, designed a stackable tulip vase made of glass in 1996. Our tulips are larger than in the 17th century and when placed in this vase, a surprisingly spacious image is created, which is characteristic of much of Noyons' work. The vase is mouth blown and hand formed in the Czech Republic by master glass baller Petr Novotny.
