Vintage Design

Rare cobalt blue glass vase by Fratelli Toso. The finish of the vase is characterized by specks of Aventurine fused onto the glass (Tociato in Muranese) to recall the Lapis Lazuli stone. Above the vase there are some beautiful peach blossom murrine made by Fratelli Toso. The vase has the attachment of the stitch rod visible in the lower part and the morise shoulder at the base. Both handles lack the bottom protrusion. It is unclear whether they are part of the design or whether they were lost during the long life of this vase. A great design from the past from a unique manufacturer who made the history of glass.
