About This Piece

Vintage Design

On a cross-shaped strut at the top and bottom, two small semicircular hoops with stylized feather relief in gilded bronze, connected by chains of crystal glass knobs in the course to a larger, centrally placed semicircular bronze hoop. All hoops also bear crystal glass drops. Three s-shaped candle arms with narrow candle spouts and swan head finials spring from the center hoop. Additionally, it bears an openwork Neoclassical decorative frieze depicting a central Apollo mask flanked by two groups of cornucopias, vases, and pairs of swans. Three stylized feathers each with crystal glass drops serve as the upper finial. Not electrified, for use with candles. Condition: Very good, min. signs of age and use, min. abrasion.
