A ceramic decoration from France in the 1960s in the form of an elephant. A saddle seat and a blanket are glazed with pale blue and ocher, the elephant skin is painted with dark Seladon and crossed with lines of the earth -colored clay body; The selection of delicate patterns - reflecting the Chinese and Arabic influences - suggests the romance of the Silk Road. The elephant stands patiently, pauses in its forward trot, with shining eyes, almost ready for the departure
