Vintage Design

Set of four fully restored ebonized and reupholstered Kai Kristiansen Oak Dining Chairs

The A-frame model 31 dining chairs were designed by Kai Kristiansen in 1956 for Schou-Andersens Møbelfabrik and the A-frame chair is one of the most well-known chairs designed by Kai Kristiansen - a true Classic with its modest appearence but advanced design with curved backrest, crooked angles, straight yet at the same time curved and bended lines... and on top of that as all of Kai Kristiansens chairs very comfortable in use.

The chairs have been fully restored by our skilled cabinetmakers - all joints checked and reglued if needed, frames sanded by hand 2 - 3 times, ebonized to bring out the deep black color inside the wood and keep the natural grain of the oak visible waxed to protect the surface and reupholstered with new straps, foam and fabric, why the chairs are in very good condition and ready for use when they arrive.
