The work has been realized by Gabriele Galantara (1865-1937). He was a journalist and one of the leading Italian caricaturists and cartoonists. "The donkey " weekly magazine published in 1892 of which Galantara signed the illustrations, met the favor of the public. The aim of the satire were episodes of political malfeasance.
