1960's Simple Mullca High Bar Chairs - Good Quantity Available Chair. One of our most favourite makers, in 1947 Robert Muller and Gaston Cavaillon created the company that went on to develop arguably the most famous French school chair. Sadly the company no longer exists but vintage chairs can still be found, beautifully made with a strong tubular frame with birch seats. This is the 'entry' model bar chair, the steel tube is a light aqua colour and the seats and back are birch. We think the chairs were originally made without the lower support bar/footrest and these have been added later but we like that history, they have been very well fitted with brass brazed welds. We service each chair individually before they leave our workshop and we deliver chairs of excellent quality. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
