Breccia jasper is a semi-precious stone that belongs to the chalcedony group. Pure jasper is extremely rare because it is often intergrown with other minerals such as agate and opal. It also contains up to 20% foreign substances such as clay, iron oxide, iron hydroxide and manganese hydroxide. Breccia Jasper is said to give its wearer mental clarity and focus. This encouraging stone can help create order and reduce stress. Generally, jasper is viewed as a symbol of the diversity of the earth, representing the balance and grounding that nature brings.
