Charcoal drawing on paper “Forest”, Joan Granados Llimona, 1977- Spain
Exquisite charcoal drawing on paper depicting a forest landscape. Made by the grandson of the musician Enrique Granados and the painter Joan Llimona, Joan Granados Llimona. Signed in the upper right corner and dated the year it was made, 1977.
It is a work that moves between realism and abstraction. A juxtaposition of forms is thus appreciated, but the composition retains fidelity to the literal representation. It is a forest made from geometric shapes, where the lights and shadows contrast enormously.

As an autonomous work of art, with its infinite potential of qualities, resources of lines or stains, expressive distortions, spells and arabesques, resources in which he reveals himself as a true master, subjecting them to a vision of man and the world not because it is eclectic and varied less staff.
