Pair of fine and large Empire candlesticks with expressive floral decoration, made in France around 1820: on round base with unusually large, surrounding floral garland fluted conical shaft with palm leaf base. As a top finish an acanthus leaf wreath, on which sits the vase-shaped candle spout with abstract classicist leaf relief. Very decorative pair of candlesticks with expressive, finely chased floral decoration with beautiful proportions Condition: very good.
