Large Gilded Wood Mirror, Early 19th Century

Vintage Design

Large rectangular gilded wood mirror for vertical or horizontal use. It has a multi-moulded frame with a frieze of medallions around the outside, pearls on acanthus leaves and garlands of flowers.
The inner frame is adorned with a Renaissance rosary of angel wings and shells.
This important mirror is darkened with an original mercury mirror.
You'll want to admire this mirror in the room where it will be installed, and recognise the harmony of its decoration.
