Clock case rising on a rock pillar on five sturdy, gold-highlighted rocaille feet, richly decorated with elaborately sculpted flowers, leaves and rocailles surrounding the dial, crowned with a Jupiter figure seated on a cloud throne, blooming in his youth - Jupiter, the greatest and supreme god of the Romans and king of the gods, the highest source of all order on earth - with a crown on his head, in his right hand the sceptre, supported on his right shoulder, in his left hand a flaming bundle of lightning, at his side an eagle with outstretched wings as a symbol of ruling power, below the dial, on the pedestal in front of the rock a writhing Chronos, the aged angel as the personification of time and the course of life, who does not want to be chained down and restrained by the personified flower of life... White porcelain dial with painted Roman hour numerals in dark blue and Arabic minute numerals in black, brass surround, black hands, eight-day movement with hour and half-hour strike on bell. Original movement checked by a master clockmaker, completely cleaned and fully functional.
