A beautiful pair of Thai Nguek sculptures. Similar to mermaids, The Nguek are half fish, half human mythological creatures. Made using the ancient lost wax technique where the subject is first sculpted from wax, a clay mold is then made around the wax, the wax removed and replace with molten bronze. In great condition with no damage. 31cm / 12"
