Pair of antique French porcelain vases "Porcelain de Paris"; the delicate and colorful hand-painted decorations represent two rural landscapes; while on the back the vases are white with light leaf designs in pure gold; the two vases are then finished in the base, handles and body always in pure gold, creating a rich and elegant whole; in some parts the pure gold appears worn, but this makes the two objects much more fascinating and historically interesting. The pieces were made between 1870 and 1875 respecting ancient traditions and the raw material (kaolin) by master craftsmen. "Porcelain de Paris" is a term that refers collectively to the various porcelain decoration workshops and studios in and around Paris, France. It is not the name of any single company or manufacturer and is usually applied to handcrafted objects of excellent workmanship produced between the mid and late nineteenth century. The producers are in some cases anonymous and generally unknown or have created only a few rare pieces. The antique porcelain objects of Paris are the most desired by collectors and are present in many museums around the world. Measures diameter cm.13 height cm. 22
