A. Zardinsh. "On the dance floor". Completed April 10, 1940 at midnight. The apogee of Zardinsh′s creativity is large two-tier colored compositions about a dance floor. An interior anticipating the present day with dancers of the upper tier, a staircase to the underground and mysterious world of the dance floor. Modernist dating accuracy - enhances the cumulative effect of concreteness and presence. Similar compositions form the backbone of Zardins′ collection at the Latvian Art Museum.
