About This Piece

Vintage Design

Charming pair of solid pinewood easy chairs made in Sweden in the 1940s in the typical Swedish "sportstuga" ("sports-cabin") style by a master cabinetmaker. The big chunky cushions have been reupholstered in white natural sheepskin of the best quality. The design is eye-catching and the chairs are as cozy and comfortable as it gets. The chairs bears resemblance to other designs from the period such as period furniture by Swedish designers Axel Einar Hjort, Axel Larsson etc.
