Beautiful antique Italian oil painting on canvas. Excellent pictorial quality great attention to detail. Italian school of the 18th century. Not signed. A beautiful religious painting Saint Francesco Saverio. Francisco de Jasso Azpilicueta Atondo y Aznares de Javier, commonly known by the Italianized name in Francis Xavier, was a Spanish Jesuit and missionary, proclaimed a saint in 1622 by Pope Gregory XV. He was a pioneer in the spread of Christianity in Asia. Sold with not antique frame.
