Hand-carved top in spiral, gilded feet and water textures Quentin Vuong is an artist-designer whose aesthetic approach allows for a dialogue between materials and textures. This interaction produces objects which respond subtly to light. In his After the rain collection, the rain invites itself into the living room and freezes the ephemeral on the furniture. The black resin drops are poured on matte wood and mimic the delicacy of sleeping water after a storm. Quentin Vuong’s mirrors are liquid and imperfect. Gilded with white gold leaf or fine silver, they are interspersed with fissures, artifacts of the human gesture. They reveal misty and immaterial images that express the passing of time. The ensemble invites us to daily light-filled, tactile contemplation of nature in our interiors.
