Tall vase by Alberto Donà. Feather fenicio effect over crossing striping of two colors. Rare, since most have two colors, not three. Tall teardrop vase from Alberto Donà. This vase is created with a technique of striping spirals of glass with side pontil passages to create a web-like design. A few Fenicio strokes to create the feather effect. This requires high temperature glass coating and just a handful of maestros can reach this dimension. Base and other identifications and references: No label. No signature on the base. Manufacturing quality and kind of glass and materials used identify the maker as Alberto Donà with no doubt. Evaluation assessment: This is a three color technique; the other vases from Alberto Dona mostly use a two color technique.
