This ring is one of those jewels that make you fall in love at first sight, even at a first quick glance; you could even know nothing about it, but simply take it, put it on your finger and be enchanted and enraptured by its beauty, by the thousand details that compose it and by the enchantment of its stones. Despite this, for a ring like this it is essential that you know all its characteristics; so prepare yourself to be continually surprised and finally to desire this ring more than ever. You will surely have been enraptured by the central stone that decorates it, a new stone for these screens, namely a blue zircon. I underline right from the start that it is a completely different stone from "cubic zirconia", synthetic stones which have a much lower value than zircons, with which it is easy to get confused due to the similar name. So what type of stone is zircon? Zircon is a mineral that belongs to the nesosilicate group and which we can find in the natural colors of transparent, golden-yellow, red, brown, blue and green; and then among the oldest gems on Earth, so much so that a tiny fragment dating back to 4,4 billion years ago was found in Western Australia. Its light blue-blue color (therefore the one I propose to you today) is called " Starlite ”, and its refractive index is so high that it is inferior only to that of the diamond, leading it to have a particular sparkle and particular brilliance. Now that you know these stones better we can come to our ring, a true work of art. The zircon is round cut, with an upper part cut in such a way as to leave many faces that reflect the light in an incredible way; the blue that colors it is intense, rich in many different shades, creating a magnificent and magical effect. The bezel that holds it securely also has a thin frame, which leaves the entire surface free for us to admire completely. Moving our gaze outwards we find an outline of diamonds, arranged very close to the zircon and at a small distance from each other; they are all brilliant cut, and are inserted into individual multi-prong settings which, seen in profile, create a beautiful decorative effect. This entire central part is supported by a stem whose shoulders have been decorated not only with three rosette-cut diamonds but also with engravings so precisely that it seems to be the architectural element of an ancient or Renaissance building, worked with the chisel to be able to create something unique. The setting is entirely in 18K white gold, the zircon is estimated at approximately 4.50ct. and the diamonds are for an estimated total of approx. 0.84ct. Given the age and the fact that they are handcrafted jewels (and not in series), our antique and vintage jewels are often not perfect and may show normal signs of surface wear, small imperfections and / or scratches, possibly present both on the parts in gold than on stones.
