Vintage French coffee table with decorative earthenware tiles in leaf motif by Roger Capron (circa 1970s). This charming table is a quintessential example of collectible Capron. There are nature-themed tiles with a variety of beautiful leaves impressed into the earthenware top. The table is rectangular with angular, sturdy legs whose joints are fitted into the horizontal frame tightened with screws. Overall, it is simple, functional, rustic and filled with Provencal charm. A unique piece of Capron history for connoisseurs of this celebrated master and for those looking for an original piece for their home. While the table-top tiles are pristine, the wooden components are In fair overall condition with evident scrapes, scratches and nicks throughout. Maker's signature on corner tile.
