Silvio Coppola, an Italian designer renowned for his minimalist and functional aesthetic, collaborated with Bernini, a prestigious Italian furniture company established in 1950. Their partnership in the 1960s led to the creation of several iconic pieces, including the Model 620 chair and the Model 613.1 dining table.

Together they make this wonderful set.

Design
Crafted in rich walnut wood and upholstered in luxurious black leather, the chair’s rather voluptuous shapes do not necessarily reflect Coppola’s usual minimalist approach. The walnut frame provides a warm contrast to the sleek black leather, creating a visually striking and comfortable piece. A standout feature of the Model 620 is its innovative design: the tops of the back legs can be unscrewed to access the backrest, allowing easy upholstery changes. This practical detail ensures the chair’s longevity and versatility, aligning with Coppola’s commitment to functional beauty.

The table is also made of rich walnut and demonstrates Coppola's distinct ability to merge form and function seamlessly. The minimalist design is both robust and refined, with clean lines and a sturdy base that exudes strength while maintaining an air of sophistication. Every detail, from the tapered legs to the smooth edges, reflects Coppola's dedication to quality and aesthetic balance. The table top seems to float on top of the base, one of the highlights of this table in our view. This table is fully restored to its original glory. The walnut wood has been meticulously treated to highlight its natural grain, enhancing the table's warm, organic appeal. Every detail, from the tapered legs to the smooth edges, reflects Coppola's dedication to quality and aesthetic balance.This piece is also signed.

Condition

The pieces are fully restored in our workshop. The leather remained untouched by us but can be reupholstered if desired. There is a quality difference between the leather on the seats.
