"“My first memory of a rug is Aladdin’s flying carpet magically helping you to fulfill your dreams. The day I was asked to design one, I lay down on the rug in my living-room just to feel it all over my body. I closed my eyes: I wasn't seeing, just sensing. Then I opened my eyes and I saw the elegant plasters decorating the ceiling of my entire apartment. Suddenly, I decided to transpose them onto a different canvas, ‘to bring them down’, literally. Or, maybe, I simply decided to take my carpet up.
Take Me Up is my first rugs collection and it draws inspiration from the ceilings of my Milanese appartement. A rug can fly us wherever our fantasy allows it, even up the ceiling (and beyond).”"
