"World Map Elwe 1792 Of The Terrestrial & Aquatic Globe Amsterdam" World map or of the terrestrial & aquatic globe. Amsterdam, at IB ELWE 1792. This map is 18th century, it has been enhanced in color, it is fresh. We note a later frame, in pitch pine, from 1900. Map engraved on a double page by Elwe, with each continent represented allegorically by a woman in the margins and various native flora and fauna richly illustrated in the borders.
